Ever since I was little I have thought it would be a grand idea to run away and join The Circus. I don’t think I actually voiced this to my parents or they probably would have done something like tie me to the dining room table to try and stop me. So instead I told them I wanted to be a princess and they thought I was cute and bought me a plastic tiara and sweets. You see, I was clever even back then. Anyway a few weeks ago I took a step closer to my unspoken childhood dream, and have been participating in real life aerial circus classes! (I feel like there should have been a drum roll there.) Not me (via iStock) And I can report that being in The Circus (or similar) is the most fun in the world. I have many weird shaped bruises covering my body and my arms are constantly sore, especially straight after a class when I can hardly lift them. (Side note: I am actually typing this with a stick I have in my mouth, because it hurts too much to move my arms.)
